FAQ

No. We provide home care services wherever home is —a private residence, a senior living community, or while staying with a family member or friend.
There are many ways you can pay for home care costs and this varies from situation to situation. Some services may be covered by a type of insurance you have, or by Medicare or Medicaid, or by Veterans benefits. Also you can pay for services directly, which is referred to as “private pay.” Seniors First Home Care will review and discuss with you all of the available options to ensure you are receiving the right care, at the right time, under the right benefit -every single time.
In-home care helps elderly individuals to maintain a high quality of life for themselves and their families and live as independently as possible without having to give up the comforts of their own home. It allows them to be in a familiar environment, sleep in their own bed at night, and stay close to loved ones like family, friends, and pets. It also brings peace of mind to know they have access to skilled, consistent, reliable care when it’s needed, even if those needs change. When compared to other alternatives of care, home care can be significantly more cost effective. According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), at-home care is usually less expensive, more convenient, and more effective.
Personal care and companionship services will be provided by a home health aide (HHA) or certified nursing assistant (CNA). A registered nurse (RN) will oversee the care provided by the HHAs and the CNAs and will be responsible to audit the staff and complete periodic supervisory visits to your home.

Home care is based on an individual's unique needs, therefore there is no set length of time. At times, elder care services can last for a few weeks, while others may be lifelong. If a third party is determining your home care needs, they can oversee services and determine the length of time required for the services provided. If you are making the decision to start home care on your own, you can determine how many hours a week of care you need, and how often. Seniors First Home Care will work with you to establish an appropriate care plan that is most suitable to your needs. Please note that we require a minimum of 3 hours per shift to start care.
