Melissa Bender, RN
Registered Nurse
Melissa Bender is our registered nurse (RN). Much of her professional career has been spent assisting families through medical challenges. Melissa is responsible for completing in-home screenings on clients with more complex care needs. Complex needs are considered a client’s use of high-risk medical equipment (such as a Hoyer lift), a client with significant comorbidities, etc. She oversees the Parkinson’s care of our caregivers as well as trains all our caregivers on Alzheimer’s/dementia caregiving techniques using a program created for Seniors First Home Care by our team of experts on Alzheimer’s/dementia care.
Josie De La Luz
Scheduler Coordinator
Josie has extensive experience working in the field of In-Home Care Agencies. Her role is to confirm that clients and their families are satisfied with Seniors First Home Care services, recruit caregivers and ensure they all meet the agency’s standards including remaining current on all their certifications and training requirements.
Laura Perez
Patient Care Coordinator
Laura has been focused on the health industry since 2012 when she became a registered nurse in her home country of Colombia. Her goal is to set a new standard for in-home care in Southwest Florida with her valuable experience working with patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She believes aging is a journey, and at Seniors First Home Care we are here to serve seniors from Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Glades, and Hendry counties. She advocates for aging in place because we care for seniors and want to keep them in the comfort of their homes.
